EARTH CHARTER TO MEET AT LAKE COMO RESORT

Residents and neighbors of Lake Como Resort will gather on Sunday morning, Oct. 9 at 10 a.m. to enjoy a presentation about the Earth Charter. I know that the Earth Charter will excite many of you who are already living Earth Charter principles and don’t know that there is an international document that supports what you do.
The Earth Charter (EC) is a document of 16 principles for building just, caring, healthy and peaceful communities written over period of 10 years by thousands of people in 77 countries. It was launched in 2000. Over 14,000 organizations have endorsed it including US Conference of Mayors, International Baccalaureate Organization, International Council for Science, World Federation of Engineering Organizations, International Council for Local Environmental Initiatives and Parliament of World Religions.
